also http://red5chat.com, is free, open source, and low resource on the user end. we could do ANYTHING with that, and not be out anything. perhaps set something up on the dev side to test it out?

Agreed. I have seen first hand, second hand, and a mutant third hand how buggy this can be and how hard it is to admin, not to mention its non-upgradable without dolling out more cash for it. I think we've gotten our monies worth on this, time to move on.

yea we just had a new person come in today and get disconnected several times. in less than an hour. i love the chatbox and everything that we can do with it. but having ppl get disconnected every time they walk into the chatbox is pushing some of us away. i know fred ruen and i have quit the cb for a day due to continuous disconnectings.

Well I for one will say that we just need to go back to using the Ajax chat, with a spot to have cams in flash. I already know the answer to this, but fuck it. It is what I would like to see happen. I mean It is what made Pwned, Pwned in the first place yo.

IMO, what made Pwned, Pwned, was the fact everything was hand coded and it had this very personal "we are here for you" feel. All the mods, and devs were very approachable, as most still are. The chat was great, and this one is in theory, but the bugs are costing us members. The forums feel detached from the rest of the site, and and it feel like we have 3 styles in one going on here, not in a good way. We need a hand coded, or at least open source one so we can change it as we like/need to suit us.

I fuckn LOOOOOVE Pwned cause of the in-house written code. errr well it used to be, now the shit is just a hodge-podge of open source forum and paid for flash chat, sprinkled with a neat Live feed that should of been better implemented... I do not like that at all! But it is what it is. We can state our grievances with it. And hopefully they are heard. I know they are at least seen by the devs and taken into consideration.
