I don't know what, but something makes me really like this game.
One of my favourites.
I thought this game was really good. The Story was a little weak especially the ending, but I liked the character design, and the references to previous titles in the series. However the thing I liked the most was the gameplay, the combat and ability system was far better than FF VIII. While it might not hold up to later games (X and XII) it's still one of my faves.
Quite a decent game, but it doesn't seem to come up to the rest of the Final Fantasy's. I've never managed to finish it because I get sick of it by the last CD.
I'd say it's definately worth a try though.
Out of the FF7 to FF12 games, this is by far, the worse of all. RIP FF9. However I completed it.
Great characters in this one. Top-shelf graphics for the PSX and, of course, a killer soundtrack. It wasn't perfect, but it came pretty darn close and was certainly better than FFVIII in almost every way. Well, Triple Triad was better than the card game in this one, and the Sorceress and Seifer were both better villains than Kuja and Garland.
Besides, Vivi has to be one of the best characters in the series, and I always liked Steiner.
Personally, i thought it was horrible. But i played it anyways. xD
Ignore Yoshi, IX was probably one of the best in the series. If you haven't played this game yet, go do it now!

A perfect Final Fantasy Game for the end of the Playstation Era. My 3rd Favorite of all Final Fantasy
this game is cool..but its my least favorite of the series.
