The cake is not a lie, It's at the end of the game.
h2o and beans baby yeah!!! it is and always will be in my top ten. it takes seven, right under shadow of the colossus.
just the concept of this game would have been enough but there is so many things that make it EVEN BETTER! i meen lying cake, and cubes of companionship, with a crazy robot, and talking sentries.
And of course the unforgettable ending song
love love love love love love love.
<333333 perfect game.
awsome game, intertained me for hours, i hate the turrets but their kinda funny. the cake is a lie
I always thought the cake was german chocolate personally, not a lie!
Awesome awesome awesome game. Great to make you think outside the box, pun intended. You literally can solve some of the maps in so many different ways, and no way is wrong or right.
The story was just an added bonus, even without the game itself is amazing and tremendous to play. I can't wait for the next installment, whether it be Portal 2 or in episodic form!
They are going to have a hard time topping the first though with any sequel they do, but if anyone can do it, Valve can.
one of the best computer games i've ever played. the game makes you feel so alone and helpless at the end when you realize just what exactly has happened. the only problem i had with the game was that it was a bit on the short side, you could finish it in just one sitting, and the companion cube death isn't quite as heart breaking as everyone would have you believe, you get it for just one medium sized level when you've been dealing with generic disposable weighted storage cubes for the past 16 or so levels and continue do so in the following levels. my suggestion to valve for the sequel that damn well better happen sooner than another half life, have the companion cube stay with you start to near finish to make the feeling of sadness sink deeper into your very soul. but this was more like,"here, use these weighted storage cubes" heh, cool thanks... "hey, this identical cube is special." um, okay... "op, now you have to 'kill' it" um, okay... "hey, heres some more cubes to play with." um, alright... whatatweest!
the cake is a lie...
the cake is a lie...
the cake is a lie...
the companion cube is a lie...
Ever heard that phrase on the internet "the cake is a lie?"
Play Portal and you'll see. Very humorous, very entertaining, very good game-play, will distract all sorts of people including A.D.H.D. basket-cases like me for hours because of its level of interaction, the game-play, and its sheer funniness. The game also happens to be a great thinking game, great puzzles for you to solve, and won't be boring after the completion of the game. I was playing this at a friends and we all were breathless from the intensive squealing laughter. Comes with the Orange Box for PC and Xbox 360.
all i can say about this game really is... WOW
first time i played it i was just a bit like WTF. but since then ive just played it over and over again. it just doesnt get old
when I started this game I thought it was going to just be a puzzle game, but once the small story kicked in I was like OMG THE IS AWESOME!!!
One of the funnest end bosses I've played, and the ending wasn't too much of a disappointment like most games.
For anyone who complains that Portal is short, you can eat me.
Portal is short, yes, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. It made you want more, is that not what a game should do?
Yes.
Portal is so addictive. You have to learn how to use portals as you play. There are barely any directions and everything in the game is from what you learned from the earlier levels. The graphics are really cool, and the physics of this game are really interesting. You can mess around during levels and try new ways to beat each one. I like the fact that there is not much music other than the ambient stuff in the background.
One of the greatest games I have ever played.
The Cake is a lie.
even theres no online play to it...its still one of the best games ever
