This game is great my wife and I love it! I have only had trouble with the guitar strum bar breaking, but it was replaced quickly and completley for free! The DLC is pretty good too.
Anyone interested in purchasing this game should do some research before forking over the $180 to the middle aged fat chick and greesey faced dude at the EB. This game is EXTREMELY FUN AND VERY ADDICTIVE .... HOWEVER .... its has some problems, it only comes with 1 guitar, no biggy, eventually you'll be able to purchase another one, or you can always ebay, you can not use your GH3 guitar on this game there was a patch for it at one point, but harmonix was not allowed to release it to the public (Thanks Activision, way to show your true colors on that one) The Microphone will most likely Lag on you, even if you're alone, its a brief delay that causes you to hear yourself a half second after you sing the part, kinda iritating for some, others don't mind. The Drum Fills also lag (anything thats not canned audio tends to lag) you can do lots of things to reduce this lag, but alot of it will not go away entirely. The Drum Pedal will break on you, (snap in half) so you'll have to reinforce it right out of the box - the guitar will also most likely break on you. Its not too big of a deal if you don't mind doing the research and fixing it yourself, or waiting for EA to send you another one. Alot of people have good DIY methods to fix these things and they can be found on the rock band forum.
Now with all that, i still say this is probably the most fun game i've played in the last few years especially with other people - I don't enjoy some of the software issues (which we believe the lag is) But i do enjoy repairing the things as they break, cause it makes me the hero of the house. However, if you're one of the people that like to keep things in New Condition, or if you have a child that cries horribly when something doesn't work, you may want to avoid this game.
I love it, but i just think everyone should know what they're getting into here
This is my first exploit into the Music Genre, and I absolutely love it. Makes me almost want to try the GH franchise as well. But not until I master this one first.
