The best thing about him is the fact that he’s not perfect. I mean, his socks don’t always match and his sweatshirt has a few holes in it. He doesn’t always know exactly the right thing to say but he tries his best anyway. He can’t really figure out love but he’s trying it out with me. And even though he’s not perfect, I know he’s perfect for me. *

I understand feeling as small and insignificant as humanly possible.
And how it can actually ache in places you didn't know you had inside you. And it doesn't matter how many new haircuts you get, or gyms you join, or how many glasses of chardonnay you drink with your girlfriends... You still go to bed every night going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood. And how in the hell for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy. And sometimes you can even convince yourself that he'll see the light and show up at your door. And after all that, however long all that may be, you'll go somewhere new, and you'll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again. And little pieces of your soul will finally come back, and all that fuzzy stuff, those years of your life that you wasted;
that will eventually fade.

We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race.
And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business,
engineering; these are all noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life.
But poetry, beauty, romance, love; these are what we stay alive for.

you take a step and get blown to pieces,
and you put yourself back together,

I guess thats human nature;
it hurts so much to be alone that
we'd all rather blow-up than be single.
