I'm a new XBOX 360 owner and Ninja Gaiden II is the first game I got.
I recently just bought (and finished) Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3 (loved it) so I was extremely pleased that my friend decided to give me his 2 month old 360.
On topic, I have to echo EngrishKiller5's sentiments in that I do not regret getting this game at all.
Upon receiving my somewhat-new 360 I decided to check what the reviews said about Ninja Gaiden II. The consensus is that the action is virtually unmatched but that it also came with a price called the camera. To be perfectly honest, it's not that big a deal. I watched the video review on 1up.com and I have to say, the reviewer did not know how to take advantage of Ninja Gaiden's combat system. When you perform On-Land Charges (OLCs) to unleash Ultimate Techniques much, much faster than by "manually" charging, the enemies become your playthings.
Back to the camera issue, while it is nowhere near the awesomeness that is the Metal Gear Solid 4 camera (in my humble opinion), Ninja Gaiden II's camera is head and shoulders above the monstrosity that is Genji: Days of the Blade. While Ninja Gaiden II's camera begs to be reset time and again by way of the Right Trigger, it's not the chore that most reviewers make it out to be. You just have to have some degree of coordination.
I'm still in the early stages of the game but even then, the action and the visuals are jaw dropping. I'm definitely looking forward to playing more of this game (like after working out tonight).
If you got through Ninja Gaiden (the original, Black and/or Sigma), then Ninja Gaiden II is a can't miss. If, on the other hand, you suck at action games, then Ninja Gaiden II (or any of its iterations) will just make you want to destroy your console.
