Mood: Ready for some RACING ACTION!!



Mario Kart Wii's release date is April 28th 2008

I'm so excited for this title. I can't help but get excited thinking about Mario Kart. After several Mario Kart DS parties with my buddies.. I've got to say that I'm pretty fucking decent, when my boyfriend isn't playing and isn't CONSTANTLY in first place, I'll be dominating the tracks, owning everyone, I love it.

 

Nintendo has explicitly confirmed the presence of a Battle Mode in this game. Additionally, both normal races and battles are playable online through the use of Nintendo Wifi Connection. Mario Kart Wii is going to have Wifi!!! That means me and my bf can be playing split-screen dropping banana peels against the world!! Or ya know.. our few friends hehe.. =3 This is the second game in the series to utilize the WFC and the first to allow for online battles. Battles will now cater to 12 players via Wi-Fi connection.

While every previous Mario Kart game allowed for a maximum of eight racers on each course, up to twelve have been seen in video footage of Mario Kart Wii this could possibly be online. Reggie Fils-Aime promised that Nintendo would release more information about this in the future.

Also, there will be new items (in Mario Kart, not the Mario universe) such as:

The Mega Mushroom

The Thunder Cloud

and The POW Block



Also, the fun thing about Mario Kart Wii is that there will be NO MORE SNAKERS!!!

Nintendo has not released a full cast list for the game, but it is confirmed that there will be twelve starting characters with more unlockable. Each character starts out with 3 karts and 3 bikes, also 2 more can be unlocked. You can also race your Miis!!!










We will have to trade Friend Codes as soon as this game hits the shelves.

This game in no way reminds me of Double Dash.. hopefully more like Mario Kart: DS.. my personal favorite game out of the franchise so far.

No the Thunder Bolt is still in but the Thunder Cloud gives you unlimited boosts for a bit but if you overuse it the cloud will shock you and shrink you.

The Thunder Bolt still does it's job of shrinking everyone but you.
