nicely written.. being pretty new to the site and not really knowing who is who and who runs what i was confused by the situation. i was in SB at the time, and it got pretty out of hand. i myself dont like fakers, however, we dont really know anyone here personally. we do know that we obviously have gaming in common or you would not sign up to a gaming website. I LOVE IT HERE and if we all keep the fore mentioned rules in mind and follow them pwned.com will continue to be awesome and new members will come. :)

I thank you for posting this Clov3r, it's ridiculous the attacking of Panda. Wether she's fake or not, does not mean we can just attack her and call her out to everyone. Pwned.com is trying to rise above the BS, and to have this type of anamosity towards members is crazy. And Panda is not obliged to make a fansign to prove she is real or not. The only person who has the power to ask for proof is Andy himself. If you don't like someone or think they are fake, keep it in PM, or ignore it. Don't have the whole site rising up against the poor girl. We need to have some sense of decency here and not call someone out without 100% proof. This is all unwanted drama. She's never done anything on this site to deserve this treatment, so let's let sleeping dogs lie..

I deleted the blog entry, and I've already sent messages to those I felt I offended. I've said my sorries about the friendly fire, and about the public nature of the agrument.



But I am not sorry for dragging her name through the mud.



Clov3r, you've read the msg I sent you, and your choice to not respond has said volumes. And I am sorry you'd let something little like this do that.



The fact of the matter is, you emphasize it being a society, yet how long will it remain that way when you have fakers? I once watched an entire guild collapse due to a single girl and her web of lies. And you're right, I dont have the power to ban, but all I did was send the message out, the overwhelming response was something completely out of my hands. I've already talked with Andy on the subject. He wants to implement a report system to help keep fakers off the site.



Its not about a witchhunt, or alpha femaleism. Its about principle. About what's right and wrong. It's about upholding values and morals. If you guys wanna be blindly lied to, it is up to you. It's something I choose not to allow for myself. All I did was say, here are the facts. People decided to act for themselves.





But you also say just because they use other people's pics they aren't bad. Yeah, it's one thing for someone to say, have only one pic of a girl who isnt them as their avatar. Its a completely different scenario when they upload a bunch of pics and label them like "this me , long time ago" and "at soandso's party." Because the first situation is only other implying it's her. the second is outright lying. And guess what? Lying is bad! If she isn't lyin, why does she refuse to make a salute/sign? And if she is worried about it getting photoshopped... why does she refuse to video chat with me? Or make a video salute that cant be photoshopped?





And you're lumping this situation with what you feel is other negatives on the site. Never am I rude to newbs. I get sent alot of msgs and comments from new people on the site, and I try my hardest to reply to all of them. welcome them, get them involved in conversation. I welcome them when they are in the shoutbox.





So yeah, I've said my sorries to you, you can take em or leave em. I would just like to know which one you choose.

id love to say more on it but tbh... u already said everything that needed to be said and i completely agree with the whole thing

I tried to calm it down but I think I made it worse by mentioning a certain profile on myspace that used to investigate things like this..that was my bad.



But I stand by Pink Panda and I hope she doesn't leave because of all that has happened. We need to be more welcoming of everyone instead of being so uptight. Also if no one realized it she entered in the G4 Gamer Girl Contest..what kind of person would do that knowing that they would possibly have to meet a company face to face? I have seen people get torn to shreds because of stuff like this. Yes it is horrible when you think they person in the picture is the real person and when you go to a tournament and find out that they look completely different you are upset, mainly because you put lots of trust in that person. But don't think that every good looking girl is fake. Take Britini Martini for example: she ALWAYS has some girl taking her pictures, posing as her, etc. That doesn't make her a fake person at all.



So as I stated before when this topic was brought up. Lets not make this a Witch Hunt. Lets be more accepting of one another. (Also I am going to add that she is the only one that I have seen that has pictures of her gaming...you won't really see that on any of the "other tons of millions of girls that steal her pictures".)

yeah and like I said - these points are mostly just a general statement. I dont mean to say that everyone acts this way, but on occasion ppl tend to forget that this is a place for everyone.





And RIOT - most of the problems that occur around FFMAH are more/or/less coming from a certain handful of people who have already been talked to - heh and yeah FFMAH/Girl POWER could have been worded better ;D <3



My main point is that people need to start lightening up around here. And if people bug you, take advantage of the ignore feature and talk to one of us admins if you need to.

sigh...leave the moderating to the moderators. I agree with you Clover. People are acting like this is their website to defend. Get on the payroll if you want that job. Until then, leave a PM to the creators and leave it in there hands. The whole staff of Pwned.com have been extremely receptive to ideas/thoughts/comments/etc...throughout the past five months. Please, if you have a problem with someone, let the right people know instead of creating a mob mentality.

Guys do the same shit, though, if they're used to being head honcho.

I haven't seen any FFMAH members bullying anyone.. it may have been that way back in the day but for the most part we're cool with everyone. BTW, Idk what FFMAH has to do with Girl Power. XD

I've also seen lots of members welcoming newbies to the site and adding them.. so Idk if we have to worry about people getting scared off that badly. Also, I always see people kindly tell newbies to "don't refresh but click Reload" so they understand.



Although, I still do not like fakers and that girl is still pathetic (imho) I suppose you proved your point that we did indeed over-react and some did break rules. Sure, we need more members but Idk, I just don't like the bad ass community that is pwned.com being tainted with fakes, idiots and the like. Oh well.

hEY did you ever watch the movie T2? In the movie the T1000 says that it's in our nature to destroy ourselves. Unfortunately it's a very true statement, some are here to help and make friends while others are here to feed of the misery of others. Hopefully this can be a peaceful place to well be human in.
