WiiWare is a game-creation service that will allow developers large and small to create new downloadable video game content for sale by Nintendo through the Wii Shop Channel of the Nintendo Wii.
WiiWare paves the way for smaller, more creative games to make their way to the public at lower prices, without any inventory risk to developers in much
the same way as Microsoft's longstanding XBLA service.
The first WiiWare content will launch in early 2008.
==============================================================
Why am I excited? Well at first, to be honest, I wasnt. I figured developers were going to be putting out mediocre horrible shitty games. Ignorantly, I assumed these games would be a mass of mini-games from Wii-swinging hell. Ofcourse, I was wrong. How could I doubt Nintendo? They have never let me down before. So I went to research what games would be out and what I was in for.

Dr. Mario & Germ Buster: Puzzle video game starring Dr. Mario in development for WiiWare, a service launching for Nintendo's Wii in Japan in March 2008. The title supports the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, allowing players to compete with one another over the Internet. Players can also use their Mii characters instead of Mario characters during gameplay. Dr. Mario & Germ Buster also features a version of the Nintendo DS title Brain Age 2's "Virus Buster/Germ Buster" mini-game, which now allows up to four players to participate cooperatively.
Eternity's Child: (previously known as Angel's Eternity) is a side-scrolling platform game based on the fairy tale created by Luc Bernard, which was initially developed for Xbox Live Arcade, one of the first games to be made with the XNA toolset. On September 9, 2007, it was revealed that it was changed to retail Nintendo DS and WiiWare titles, to be published by British retro games publisher Alten8.

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Based on the popular character Strong Bad from www.homestarrunner.com, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (SBCG4AP) will feature many elements from Strong Bad's own series of email-reading cartoons. You'll be able to explore the Homestar Runner world, answer emails yourself, make prank phone calls and play some of the arcade games featured on the website too. The game will consist of 5 episodes (Similar to Telltale's popular Sam & Max series) which will be released on a monthly basis.

Sooooo.. in conclusion. I'm looking forward to seeing the different variety of games coming out on WiiWare and you should be too!!
