4 Bumps

Mood: Curious

So I was just looking around at other people's blogs on here and I stumbled upon one of the GameGirl's blogs about asking them a question.. So They said how they have already previously answered some questions so I read the one below.

http://www.gamegirl.com/article/52993/ask-the-gamegirls-should-girls-pick-up-the-controller/

I was in shocked and in awe after that because I never knew anyone with the same problems as I do. Also, I can relate to Britini Martini a lot, because I live in a small community myself in the middle of no where. I barely have any neighbours, my friends live far away. Gaming has helped me stay away from smoking/drugs/alcohol. My dad tells me all the time that I can't socialize on "that thing" (refering to the xbox 360) but I can't tell him that you can because I know he would have a spaz attack on me. I think that parent's don't quite understand gamers that much because they didn't grow up with gaming like we did, well.. I guess they had the Atari and Nintendo.. but I mean, it's not the same as now.. There wasn't online gaming back when they were young. The internet was born in 1969 but I mean, it WASN'T like what it was today at all. I would try to take the time and explain to them everything about video-games but it's almost like the time that I tried to explain that I had some online friends which they almost had a heart-attack about, lol. My parents know that I love gaming and that it's going to be in my future, they're not stopping me but they did wish that I went out more, haha. That's all for today I guess. It's good to know that others are in the similar situation as I.

/lives in a two horse town. *hey! horses need lovin' to!*

My mom is a religious zealot, i was raised as a pretty darn strict catholic, attending mass 3 times a week. (latin, spanish, and english. varieties the spice of life apparently)

I was only allowed to play video games because my dads a goof, and not religious at all! :P We were never allowed to have the internet though, because my mom thought we'd get abducted and things.

Video games, kept me from doing a lot of things i'd regret now. Although not everything, i was in the army for a while, and got a taste of a variety of terrible things no one should ever ever try! *mostly drugs and alcohol*

take it easy splash, we bumpkins need to stick together!

Oh btw, sorry for my rambling XP

Whoa read my own life just now. =P

Yeah I always liked that about Britini.. she grew up in a small one-horse town just like I did. Don't get me wrong, I love my little tight-knit crime-less Texas town.. but there is NOTHING TO DO!! Thank whoever for the Internet and games because without that, I would be some herpes-infested, cocaine snorting scum.

My parents are the same when it comes to my obsession with technology. I mean, they don't mind tooo much anymore now that I have my own money to buy my own games and knick knacks.. but before when I'd ask them to buy me something they'd roll their eyes and try to talk me into something else. Guess it's just a money thing and nothing to do with them hating gaming or anything. =P
