Well as per normal here at Console Heroes, we try bringing you things we think you would love to read as opposed to copy and pasted press releases. So it is with great pleasure that we welcome Ciji aka Star Slay3r aka Judy Nails to the team. Some of you will remember her from the Female Gamers series of interviews, others will recognise her from Coin-Op TV but most likely you will know her from the Guitar Hero Tournaments and events that happen around the world.

So without any further mithering from me, Console Heroes proudly presents the first of many articles written by her shredding hand, Ladies and Gentlemen here is Star Slay3r

Hello gamers! For those of you who don't know me I go by the name StarSlay3r in the gaming world. I'm most known for being Judy Nails at guitar hero tournaments rocking peoples faces off and now I'm here on Console Heroes to give you some help with Guitar Hero 3, and all the Guitar Hero news and reviews your brain can handle. 



Rant #1: Spawn.com announces that McFarlane Toys are partnering up with Activision for Guitar Hero.

This really upset me to read actually. So it turns out that Activision's marketing department is at it again, this time they've gone for one thing they know every kid loves... TOYS. 

This Novemeber MacFarlane Toys will be releasing what they call are the "most popular" Guitar Hero characters as 6'' action figures. The 4 characters they announced are; Johnny Napalm, Lars Umlat, Axel Steele and The God of Rock. Now... as you may have noticed Axel Steele and Johnny Napalm are two of the most famous male characters from the game, but Judy Nails is DEFINITELY up there along with Casey Lynch and the Grim Ripper. Who the hell actually plays the game with the God of Rock anyways? Seriously! Seems like every Guitar Hero game I can remember has had Judy Nails on the cover, so why not make her into a toy? 

Moving along, these little action figures are likely to be priced at about $10 to $15 a piece which is his standard pricing for 6'' action figures. Quality wise they don't look like you'd expect toys from MacFarlane to look. Axel Steele looks like Butthead from Beavis and Butthead, The God of Rock looks like he's on drugs and Lars is decent at best. The only character that they look like they took their time on currently is Johnny Napalm and they even made sure to get the detail of his tattoos down. Kudos on that one, but I say we start a petition to get Judy in there... whose on board?

AXEL STEEL
After attaining genuine superstar status, Axel retreated to hometown bonfire parties and barnyard jam sessions. Now he's back in the limelight and looking to destroy anyone and anything dull enough to stand in his path of headbanging destruction!

GOD OF ROCK 
Once human, the God of Rock has ascended to the highest level of rocking and plays nightly in a small pub on Mount Olympus. Occasionally, he finds time to guitar battle with mere humans. He also is credited with inventing the lute.

JOHNNY NAPALM 
'I love the smell of napalm in the morning.' Whoever said that never met Johnny. Up all night thrashing and partying, there is no sleeping for Johnny, just blacking out.

LARS ÜMLAUT
After an overwhelmingly warm debut a year ago, Lars needed time to cool off. Ready the longboats and crank up the metal. Lars is prepared to reverse the effects of global warming with his icy world tour.

Guitar Hero tip of the day: The only way to get the "Star Mania" achievement for "Through the Fire and the Flames" on Guitar Hero 3 is by activating star power 3 times or more while playing the song on Expert in QUICK PLAY mode. Unfortunately the achievement doesn't tell you that, so if your first time ever beating DragonForces song was in Career mode... congrats on the "The Inhuman Achievement" but that's all you'll get.
