Alright ive never written a blog before so here it goes:
I know mostly everyone knows what goin on in the world right now. Gerogia is being invaded by Russia. Now for the point of this blog. I am not a very relgious person. I actually tend to stay away from churches (Im afraid i might catch fire) but, my step-dad is a very devote christian. For years this man has been trying to get me to go to church, attend the "youth groups" and read the bible. Ive always just brushed it off and told him im off to sacrifice a chicken (Heh im just kidding i love chickens). He would shake is head and call me a heathen and walk off but, earlier today i went to the store with him to pick up some flour ( Mom was making tortillas) and we got to talking about the war and what he said to me gave me a chill down my spine. "So Joe you know what year it is?" "Yea its 2008" I responded "Awfully close to 2012 isnt" he said "Yea 4 years off". "Well Joe you better be prepared Jesus is coming!" he yelled "Should i make some cookies?" (Im abit of a smartass to him, but he knows i love him) Now this is what scared me he looked me dead in the eye and said "Have you been watching the news lately? there is war going on in georgia" "Yea i know" I answered "Well think about it this war has no good outcome, if they take georgia then the are one stop away from taking turkey, seria, iraq, and iran. and we have not fought a war EVER with a country that has 100% confirmed Nuclear capabilities" that right there is what gave me the chills. A nuclear apoclypse. If there was ever a reason to start believing in god that would be it.

While there is certainly cause for concern over any sort of conflict, you can't live in fear of it. If you want to look at the Bible, try to look at the whole picture -- cryptic as it is. Yes, it states the world will be destroyed by fire, and there are prophecies concerning meteors and wars. But it also states no one can know the day or the hour.
In the interest of honesty, I'll agree we are in the end times. And if you want to pursue God, go for it. But don't do it out of fear, at least not fear alone. There is plenty of love to be found through God, it's not all fear and judgment.
