Sometime around February I let my cousin barrow my NES plus most of my games. A few months later I was asking him for them back. Well there was a war between my family and his (I'll skip the long details) and I was told I was never going to get my stuff back.
Last month when my grandmother got put it the hospital he put his wife's stupidity on check (she's a controlling whore) and had contact with us again. After she died the war was put behind us. On Tuesday he was having trouble with his computer and he took me to his house, I fixed it up, and as payment he gave me back my NES and the games plus interest.
The interest is that his step-brother constantly stole things from them, and since he's in jail right now my cousin is going to give me his games.
On top of that last week I bought a Dreamcast from Play N Trade. When I was in middle school me and a friend would just diss it constantly during PE. At the same time I would look at the games in the magazines and think "The Dreamcast has something going for it." Last week I went balls to the wall and bought one with a controller and cords, bought a VMU and Pro Skater 2 and Vigilante 8 2nd Offense. $40 well spent. Looking back: I was an idiot. The Dreamcast is awesome. The console itself has a certain aesthetic to it that I like and the games look better than anything I used to play on the PS1. I'm going back to Play N Trade tomorrow... or today since its past 12... and I'm getting Mercs 2. I'm hoping I'll have enough left over to buy Sonic Adventure 1.
I'm sure this is all very interesting to you all but my life isn't so exciting. I'm kinda thinking about doing a gaming podcast but I can't find anyone who will participate in it with me. If not that then find a cheap digital camera/put together in-game video and make game reviews. Something.
As for me moving: I have yet to call my uncle, my friend hasn't even bought the house in Ohio yet, and my other friend wasn't too clear on what he said the first time. So instead I'm going to wait to move again with my parents back to the central part of town where there are more jobs (and less crime).
That's all for now.
Keep Playing.
