Okey this might sound crazy, but this is how I see it. I believe that the HALO Franchise is the prequel to Bungies first game Marathon. If you look back at all 3 games in the HALO Franchise. The campaign mode says it all. Ask yourself, besides shooting aliens what did you find yourself doing the the whole time? If your answer was getting from object A to object B before another alien species, you are correct. Everyone in HALO was constantly racing through the span of HALO 1 2 & 3 to get to an objective 1st. And what do you call a long, extended, drawn out race to the finish?? Thats right folks you call it a "Marathon Race" In the halo 3 campaign you can activate these hidden circular drones throughout the game. The name of the achievement you unlock for finding the drones is called "Marathon Man". And check this one out. At the beginning of HALO 1, Master Chief wakes up in a cryostasis sleeping pod. At the end of HALO 3 Master Chief goes right back to sleep in a cryostasis sleeping pod. Telling Cortana to "wake me if you need me". Well with THAT said. At the beginning of the game Marathon, the main character is woken up in a cryostasis sleeping pod by a womans voice in his head. Telling him he has been sleeping for awhile, and that its been years since the "Great War". Hmmmm I wonder which war she was talkin about? And pay attention to the new HALO 3 video on the Xbox marketplace. The writing in the video is comming from the yellow drones that you activate in Halo 3s campeign.. You know. The same drones that gave you the "Marathon Man" achievement. Just something to think about.

I agree And here is a link for anyone who still feels Hitman is wrong (LMAO though I doubt) and the cortona thing is in my opinion the strongest link and about half way down the halo 1 ties you will find a thing that talks about the link between cortona and the marathon voice that Hitman mentions
