*spoiler warning*

if by some chance you haven't seen the movie yet than dont read this.

Here is what the movie is basically about. its about a guy that just landed a VP job in japan and his friend wants to send him off with a huge party. But in the beginning of the movie you see the main guy (rob) walking around with his camcorder going into the bedroom of his more than good friends elizabeth. they talked about some random crap about not going to coney island (which i thought at first was the sit down resteruant but it was actually the park they were talking about). than the camcorder was set to rob brother jason and his gf / fiancee lily. they were setting up for rob going away party and they hand the camcorder to one of there friends hud or something like that. so the party starts and hud was walking around talking to people and what not getting a wedding like testimony from people for a good bye and good luck type thing. well hud saw this girl that he like and tries his hardest to hook up with this girl (whose name yet again i forgot). Rob showed up to the party and was surprised and all that and than his more than good friend eliabeth showed up and her and rob was fighting cause they slept with each other but they didn't contact each other after the fact and they were psming at each other. hud was trying to find out whats going on and went to jason to find out whats going on and he didn't know and they both went to lily and lily at first didnt want to tell them but she finally did. next thing you know you see hud telling everyone at the party about whats going on and than you see elizabeth and rob walking back to the party and than rob disappeared from the party and you see hud and jason going to talk to rob. than here is where the "fun" begins when the building shook and everyone was in panic cause they didn't know what was going on. so they all decided to go to the rooftop to see if they can spot anything from on top. so they are talking up there for a good 2-4 mins and than a huge explosion hits and everyone was running in fear down the stairs to the streets

okay mind you this is only a hour and a half movie and that WHOLE party was a good 35 mins long. okay so i am gonna keep this next part simple

now with the chaos happening and what not people are stunned and shocked on what they just saw and than the next thing you see is the statue of liberty head flying around and landing where the party was. rob was trying to get to elizabeth cause she is really hurt and what not. so they travel above to get to her and than they tried below thru the subway to get to her and on the way they encounter the monster little creatures that came from the monster. one of the 4 got biten and what not and they escape from that encounter all bloody up...well just the one party member really. so they walk out and they were at the mall and they ran into the army there. so rob was trying to convince the army to let him and his friends go to search for elizabeth and finally they let them through. so they finally get to elizabeth building where she lives and it was leaning next to another building. so they take the stairs up where elizabeth floor would be and they go and find her barely alive. so they take her and exit out of the building to another location where the army was to take them away by helicopter. one of the party members was on a seperate holicopter from the rest and than you see them on another copter and was flying away. while flying away you see a stealth bomber about to drop bombs on the monster. well it didnt work as the monster jumped up and hit the choper where the party was and you see them crash down on the ground. from there a series of events happen and it ended with rob and elizabeth under a bridge stating who they are and what not and than you heard a

and that took an hour to do

that pretty much what the movie was...now for my 2 cents

the beginning was slow as hell as i thought i was gonna fall asleep throughout this movie and when the action hit you barely get to see what was going on at all and  the camera work i know it was suppose to be one of the "real world" type thing but give me a break here how can a camcorder last in movie time 7-9 hours and durable as hell!! why oh why was the movie a freaking love story!!! how can one go from a monster movie to a love story movie...well simple and cloverfield did it....it was b.c the main storyline was rob searching for elizabeth cause he is in love with her but didnt tell her and elizabeth was the same way. the monster itself was cool as hell but THEY DIDNT SHOW IT ENOUGH!!! and when they did it was like a brief 2-5 secs on the monster. come on already its a monster flick show it some more!!! if any of you guys ever played final fantasy X....well the monster sorta reminded me of sing...just with arms and alot smaller. for me watching this movie was like being on a wacked out roller coaster with people talking in the background

i give this movie a 1/5 due to the fact that i came out of there with a headache
